Things You'll Need:

  • Jalapeno cornbread mix, chili, chedder cheese or mixed cheeses, sour cream, lettace, black olives, onions, tomatoes, picante sauce
  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12" x 10" cake dish.

  2. Step 2

    Mix the jalapeno cornbread mix following the instructions on the box, then pour the mix into the cake dish and cook until the cornbread is firm but not cooked through. Remove the cornbread from the oven.

  3. Step 3

    Evenly spread the chili over the partially baked cornbread. Add grated chedder cheese or a combination of favorite cheese in a layer over the chili. Place the cake dish back in the oven to let the cornbread finish baking and the cheese to melt. Approximate cookiing time is 45 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Remove the cornbread, chili, and cheese casserole from the oven and cut into portions. Serve with sour cream, shredded lettace, diced onion, diced tomato, diced black olive toppings, and picante sauce as desired. Makes a good dish for a family gathering or a small party.
