We all go through the anxiety of being more truthful about ourselves and letting people know what it is that we are going through. We are afraid to speak up and stand up for our rights because we know that we will get attack for what we speak, so we let our anxiety to take over. We are afraid to face the world so we keep ourselves from the world, we stay hidden in our own homes where we feel safe. When it's time for us to go outside to get things done like paying bills and so on, we fear what people might be saying behind our backs, judging us on how we walk and look, so with that we are always in a hurry to get things done to get back home and stay hidden till the next time we have to go out! We let this anxiety take control of our lives because all we do is live in fear. I myself deal with anxiety on a daily basis and found ways to cope without even happen to stay hidden! Now I don't go any where that often only because I have already been here and there and nothing is ever new, but of course where I live nothing does change! What I am going to show you is what I do to deal with my anxiety and found it easy to cope with the more I do the things I do.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
When you are at home and the weather is nice find an excuse to go out and enjoy the weather, rather it being yard work, planting a garden, or even washing your car. Sitting on your front or back porch and just listening to the birds and feeling the wind upon your skin, blocking out all fear that you have had before you step out that door!
Step2
Find a reason to uncover your windows and open them and don't even worry about who looks in at you because that's all that they can do. Keep in mind that no one is going to attack you while your windows are open, smell the air as it flows through out your home. Put all fear about letting the outside light in behind you and you will feel just fine!
Step3
When going to the store or anywhere else that you have to leave your car and walk here is what you need to do in order to get passed the anxiety of what others might think of you. What you need to to is walk with a chip on your shoulder, walk like you fear no one and that you could care less on what they think of you, the reason for this is the fact that they have no clue on who you are and you have no clue on who they are so there really isn't any reason to fear anything. Enjoy your time while you are shopping and paying bills, pay no mind to those who might look at you in a strainge way or roll their eyes at you, because you really don't have to see them every single day so just say screw them and go about your business.
Step4
Opening up: When someone asks you if everything is ok, work past that fear and know that you need to get what is on your mind out, if not it will eat at you and you will have a meltdown, so be as open and honest as you can and let that person know what is on your mind. When this person asks, it is because they see it and are reaching out to you, so you will have to do the same thing, remember this will help you feel better if you get whatever is bothering you off your chest.
Step5
Stand up for yourself: Don't ever let anyone run over top of you, because if you do then that gives them the control over you! Instead take all that anger that you have held in for so long in which is part of what causes most of the anxiety problem and use it to stand up for yourself! Turn that anger into a weapon of Self control and use it to show them that they can never run over top of you no matter what state of mind that your are in! Show them that you can't be bullied around anymore! Why? Because you no longer fear the outcome of it all!

Tips & Warnings

  • Advice: This is a hard process to deal with but all you have to do is take baby steps by slowly working on step one, then slowly working on step two, and finally work on actually getting out there in the world without any fear at all! Remember fear is no an option, you can do this just as long as you take it one step at a time!
  • Warning: If you do not take these steps slowly, you will not be able to cope and you will still keep yourself hidden! So it's advised to take each step as slow as you possibly can.
