You've built your website, you've submitted it to search engines, but still no traffic...now what?

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • computer
  • internet access
  • open mind
  • some time
  • good ideas
  1. Step 1

I'm assuming at this point you have your own website that is filled with key-word rich content. Your next step to getting traffic is to get the word out there. You do this by writing articles.

  2. Step 2

You write articles on your topic, brand, or website. So if you're a plumber, write articles on clogged drains, leaks, pipes, jobs, etc. Write about anything remotely related to your company. Make sure your article is at least 350 words.

  3. Step 3

You take your article and you submit it to every article site you can find. To find article sites, simply use google and type in "submit article," and you'll get millions of sites. If you're lazy, or just too busy you can pay sites to submit it for you. But I would suggest you do it yourself. This means logging into each website, creating an account and submitting an article.

  4. Step 4

When you do submit an article make sure it includes an author's resource box, either in the article or a link. Most websites let you set this up in your profile, if it's not directly on the article. If you can't get credit for the article, there is no point in signing up. The whole goal of writing the article, is to build your credibility, and get people to come to your site.

  5. Step 5

Last, take this article and submit it to at least 30 different article databases. Make sure you article is spell-checked and has no errors. Make sure your url link works and goes to your site. Once you do this, you'll only need to log-in to submit other articles.

  6. Step 6

You should do this a few times a week and build a huge database of your articles. By doing this, you're guaranteed to bring traffic to your website. And hopefully build some trust, which means easy sales.

Tips & Warnings
  • make sure you get credit for your article
  • only submit to free sites, there are enough of them you shouldn't have to pay to submit an article
  • Submit to smaller unpopular sites too. Larger sites take a few days to a week to publish your work, whereas the smaller sites might publish it right away.
