*This is an eHow request.* Are you trying to figure out how to lower the sound on your television?! Have you been banging your head against your coffee table trying to find answers when all you get is blood and a headache? Then this is the eHow for you!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Televsion
  • Remote or Hands
  • A small amount of common sense

Step1
An old remote. This may prove difficult, but grab your television remote and turn the volume down. Chances are there will be a "+" sign and a "-" sign, to lower the volume make sure you press the "-" side of the volume button. Also, make sure that you have the correct remote
Step2
A confused dog. Can't find your remote? Considering suicide? Don't tie that noose just yet mister!! If you can't find your remote just stand up, walk to your television, find the volume button and turn it down.
Step3
Another method in lowering the sound in commercials in muting your television. When you mute your television all the bad bad sound goes away.
Step4
If you have some type of DVR (Digital Video Recorder) then you can fast forward through all commercials. If you have a DVR on your computer you can record the show, use a video editor to remove the commercials and then watch the show commercial free.
Step5
Last but not least, buy the television shows. On iTunes the shows they sell don't have any commercials, then you won't have to turn down the volume for commercials! Also, if you buy the seasons of the show on DVD they take out commercials.
