Things You'll Need:
- When to put the capital letters in a Poem? When to make a metaphor in a Poem? What makes a Poem an award winning Poem?
-
Step 1
Learning to make a poem creative is a hard task to achieve. First you should connect the words with the title of the Poem. Yes! Make sure your title flows with the things written down. Your poem does not always need to end in a moral lesson, and should be amusing while comparing feelings. Like, "I am a star, I hate fast cars. These lights shine so bright, It seems like walking on tar." When you place the commas in a poem it shows where you break the punch line. This allows you to set up the poem, where you can make the words create the humor. That will allow your readers to assume what they please about your poem.
-
Step 2
Once you have learned to show where to place creative words in your poem. You must then use a connecting metaphor for the next sentence that stays on point with the first sentence. Like, "I am the tab at every bar, Nobody wonders where you are, When you are a star." This allows you to express your true feelings, while not allowing the poem to get one-sided.
-
Step 3
Then you should place humor or change the follow of the poem. You would do this after you feel that you have the attention of the audience. Like, "If I was a honda, Nobody would be fond of. But since I am a Corvette, Everyone is loves the dove." When placing humor and tricky metahors, this allows the audience to wonder and image, while the read the words. You will continue at that pace until the meaning and view is clear.

Backing away
I say I am
An artist
Don't take my love
So personal
Nor my interest
In who you are
My job above all else in this life
is
To love
To be and
To create
You
Are just a lesson for me
In stretching my canvas
Preparing for a larger portrait of life
Broader brush strokes
Ephemeral colours and
The deepest of depths
I wrote this one around age 19?

I am an artist
born peacemaker,
woman.
Of mixed heritage...
Texan.
Writer,painter,poet,singer.
At one with plants and soil
between my toes and hands.
All
to cradle Gods children and creatures.
Expressing tender,exuberant joy...
Totally,
in awe and appreciation of your life
looking back at me.
Clearly,eyes wide open,drawing breath
sacred,releasing...
filling every resounding thought
of(as)a lone star or empty space.
To be complete and serve together
