It isn't a myth that sex relieves stress. It is very true! An active, healthy sex life is good exercise, promotes well-being and helps keep your mind off of your worries for a time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sex reduces stress through deep breathing and physical activity. So, if you're feeling really stressed, you'll want to be active in your sex play with your partner. Yes, people really do run around their bedrooms naked.

  2. Step 2

Sex reduces stress through massage and touch. Studies show that massage is a brilliant stress reducer because touch is beneficial to adults. So after that quick game of naked 'catch me if you can', give each other a massage for maximum stress relief.

  3. Step 3

Sex reduces stress by releasing feel-good hormones. These are what makes your whole body feel good and they don't just go away when you're done. These stress relieving hormones stick around a bit.

  4. Step 4

Sex reduces stress through intimacy. Emotional support with a partner is a wonderful way to boost self-confidence and relieve stress.

  5. Step 5

Remember that a healthy relationship is needed for a healthy sex life. While going out and picking up a different partner might get you some sexual exercise, having a healthy relationship will give you all of the benefits of stress relieving sex.
