The perfect boiled egg from a 1920's recipe.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Medium Pot
  • eggs
  • water
  • salt
  • ice
  1. Step 1

    Add water to a pot so its a litte more than half full.

  2. Step 2

    Add eggs and turn on stove top

  3. Step 3

    Once water reaches a vigourous boil turn off heat and place lid on pot. Leave in water for exactly 15 minutes. Shake eggs around with spoon to loosen shells. Remove eggs from pot and place in a bowl with ice water to stop cooking. After a minute peels eggs let sit to cool and enjoy. Serve with salt and pepper.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add salt to the water
  • Becareful when removing eggs from pot as they will be hot.
