During your wedding there's always the task of making something memorable for your bridal party to take home with them after the big event. Flower girl dress sachets are feminine, lovely and smell wonderfully. Your wedding party can hang these in their closets and be greeted with the pleasant aroma and memory of your romantic wedding day.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Doll dress pattern
  • Sewing machine
  • Doll wire hangers
  • Potpourri sachets
  1. Step 1

Visit your fabric store and find a doll dress pattern that is simple, elegant and small. Buy the required amount of fabric that the pattern calls for, doubling or tripling the amount depending on how many dress sachets you want to make. Satin is the material to use, and pick either the bridal party colors, or soft pastels for a feminine look.

  2. Step 2

At your craft store, pick up silver or black wire doll hangers to hang your finished sachets on. Also pick up flower embellishments for the waists of the dresses, and some tulle or lace embellishments if desired for the neck of the dresses.

Choose your sachets premade. They come in small rectangles, and should be about the size of your doll dress torso. Lavender is a popular scent.

  3. Step 3

Cut and sew your doll dress according to the pattern. Sew the potpourri sachet into the inner torso of the dress so it is hidden.

  4. Step 4

Embellish by sewing lace onto the neck of the dress and hand sewing a satin flower onto the waist of the dress.

Hang on your wire hanger, and you have a lovely gift for your bridesmaids and flower girls!
