Instructions

      The extensions screen

      Start your computer and internet connection and download Firefox from mozilla.com.Follow the installation instructions. After installation navigate to TOOLS/ADD-ONS menu. This will display the add-ons screen. You may see some extensions already installed depending on the options you selected during installation

      Extensions Web page

      Click the "get extensions" link at the bottom of the add-ons screen. This will open a new Firefox tab with available add-ons. Scroll through the list to find the extension you want to add. Click on the title text to download the extension.

      Download Page

      Clicking on the title will take you to that extensions download page. You can read about the extension and then download the extension by clicking on the INSTALL NOW button.

      Isntalling Extension

      After clicking the INSTALL NOW button, a new small window will open providing some warnings and giving you one last chance to exit or install. After clicking on install button, you will be returned to the extensions menu where you will see your new extension on the install list. New extensions will be active after you restart Firefox.

Tips & Warnings

  • All extensions can be disabled or removed with one click from the ADD-ONS page.

  • Many extensions have options allowing you to fine tune them to your environment

  • Try new extensions and delete them if you don't like them, it is easy and quick to do.

  • Extensions add very little overhead and will not slow down your web surfing.

  • Too many extensions can be annoying, choose the ones you want carefully.

  • Some extensions do the same thing and can cause confusion if they are installed together, read the descriptions carefully.
