Go to Vietnam, and make the phone call. If you're close to the person you're calling in Vietnam, the call will be local, and therefore free. But chances are, if you're looking for free phone calls, you probably can't afford a plane ticket...

In lieu of phone calls, try other forms of communication. We are in the age of technology! Try using AIMTalk, the program that lets you have a free phone conversation through AIM. You can also install a web camera, which would make your phone call even better.
Step3
For your birthday and other gift-giving seasons, ask for a calling card. This is a great way to get free calls. It can also fit very easily in a care package if you are away from the person giving it to you - everyone wins!
