How to jazz up up an old boring pillow top.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • plain pillow
  • jute twine
  • all-purpose glue gun & glue sticks or white craft glue
  • 5" x 3" piece of heavey cardboard
  • scissors
  1. Step 1

    Lay twine out on surface of pillow. Surface can be divided into grid with a design in each section, or surface can be decorated with over all design. Glue rope decorations in place on pillow.

  2. Step 2

    To make tassel, wrap twine around card board six times. Cut a 14" length of twine and slip one end through one end of wrapped twine. Tie tightly, then use scissors to ope loops at other end. Remove cardboard. Take another length of twin, 12" and wrap 5 or 6 times arond tassel about 1/2" down from top. Knot ends to secure. Twin can be untwisted to create fuller tassel. repeat to make four tassels.

  3. Step 3

    Glue a tassel to each pillow corner, looping ends of twine at top of tassel and gluing in place as shown
