How to make warm apple streusel

Learn to make a healthy delicious baked apple streusel.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 medium apples (any kind, peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup splenda brown sugar blends
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (or half of a small fresh squeezed lemon)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup uncooked oats
  • 3 tbsp chilled butter
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together apples, cinnamon, lemon juice and about half of the brown sugar and pour into a baking dish.

  2. Step 2

    Cut together the flour, oats, remaining brown sugar and butter with a fork. Sprinkle on top of the apples.

  3. Step 3

    Bake until apples are browned and tender, about 45 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • If topping mixture doughs together try sticking it in the fridge for a while to chill and then cut with a fork, or just break it into small pieces and place on top of apples.
