Milk and onion soup is one of my favorites and it is such a treat especially if you serve it in a loaf of toasted bread and grate some Parmesan on top. Lip-smackingly delicious

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 finely chopped onions
  • 110 grams butter
  • 4.7 dl water
  • 4.7 dl scalded milk
  • Salt, pepper, sugar to taste
  1. Step 1

    Heat the butter and simmer the onions until soft and lightly brown.

  2. Step 2

    Add water, salt, pepper and sugar to taste and cook until onions are very soft.

  3. Step 3

    Add the milk and stir well.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use grated Parmesan cheese and toast as garnish.
  • Makes 4 servings.
