You want to find a good digital camera, but you don't want to spend the money to buy an expensive DSLR (digital single-lens reflex), but you want to be able to take those nice, clean photos that you get from a DSLR. Where there is a will, there is a way.

1. Your first step is to set your budget. Most Digital SLRs can range from one five hundred to one thousand dollars. It is possible to find one at a good price, but it is up to you to set your budget. Pick your lowest number that you will go and the highest number you will go. This is your budget.
2. You should always do research before buying a camera. Talk to your friends, or a sales person. Consult the internet. Find the brand that you want.
3. Once you have a budget and a brand picked, I suggest your next step is to search on the internet for the camera that you want. By going to amazon.com you can search "DSLR (brand)" and you will get all the digital SLRs in the brand that you want.
4. Pick out the camera that you want. Now decide if you want to buy the camera with the lens or buy the body of the camera. If you have lenses left over from another camera it would be a good idea to see what DSLRs are compatible with those lenses. You can save money this way.
5. After you pick your camera put it in your cart and purchase your new toy!
