TATER TOT CASSEROLE.

Tater tot casseroles are easy to make, filling and just plain YUMMY. There are a variety of ways to make them. This is our favorite one. This recipe serves 6.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb. turkey or hamburger.
  • 1 onion, chopped.
  • Chopped garlic. (to taste)
  • 1 (16oz) pkg. frozen tater tots.
  • 1 Can cream of mushroom soup.
  • 1/2 to 1 can of milk. (measure in the soup can)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese.
  • 8x8 baking dish.
  1. Step 1
    Brown turkey or hamburger.
    Brown turkey or hamburger.

    Brown ground turkey or hamburger, onion and garlic in skillet until no pink remains. Drain well.

  2. Step 2
    Salt and pepper.
    Salt and pepper.

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Step 3
    8x8 baking dish.

    Put mixture into an 8x8 baking dish.

  4. Step 4
    Tater tots.
    Tater tots.

    Place tater tots evenly on the top, filling in the entire top.

  5. Step 5
    Cream of mushroom soup.
    Cream of mushroom soup.

    Mix together soup and milk, pour over tater tots.

  6. Step 6
    Bake casserole.
    Bake casserole.

    Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over entire top. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until bubbly. Serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
  • Buy the cheese already grated to save a little time.
  • use caution when grating cheese, if you grate your own. The cheese grater can cut you.
