How to Cleanse Your Emotions Through Forgiveness

To guide the individual on how to forgive without hurting their own emotions.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Just yourself
  • An Open mind
  • A Quiet space or room
  1. Step 1

    The first thing you have to do is find a quiet place to focus on just yourself. I found that the best place in the entire house would be the bathroom. Because you'll have more privacy and it's a place where no one else will bother you.

  2. Step 2

    Secondly, once you've found your perfect space, you need to focus by closing your eyes and not thinking about "What do I have to do today".
    Start doing some breathing exercises: Inhale and Exhale slowly by counting between the exhales (one thru ten), for example: inhale then exhale one, inhale then exhale two, etc.

  3. Step 3

    Once your body has relaxed with the breathing, you can focus on the next step, ask yourself these questions and honestly answer them. Remember, be honest, you are alone in your space.

    1. Who am I?
    2. What is my body?
    3. What is my thought?
    4. Where do my thoughts come from?
    5. Why do I feel this way?

    Once you have honestly answered all those questions, you can now focus on Forgiveness; because when you become 'Aware of yourself', you'll know how to handle any given situation and you are less likely emotional and hurt. You have to learn about yourself before you can 'Forgive'.

  4. Step 4

    The next step is the hardest one of all. Saying to someone, "I forgive you" is not an easy thing to do but you need to do this for YOURSELF. You need to free yourself from stress. You must break the chain and release them so that your mind, body, and soul can be free... The technique to free you from these emotions is simple. When you become aware of your emotions, you just say, "I forgive you" and repeat it three times. Even if you feel that you are not the wrongdoer. By saying, "I forgive you" whether privately or in-person, you are freeing yourself and able to be happy and enjoy the true meanings of life.

    After a while, with more practice breathing exercises and self-awareness, you can conquer anything and everything. You will be able to face any given situation with a Great Big Sunflower Smile.. after all, it's less wrinkles! Believe in yourself! You're worth it!

  • Try checking out a Yoga Class in your neighborhood for more additional self free time.
