This article will show you step by step in how to do a Testicular Self Exam.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Full length mirror
  1. Step 1

After a warm shower towel dry and find a well-lit room . Stand in front of the mirror and inspect the groin area including the scrotum and the penis gland. Look for the positioning of both scrotum and also for any lumps or bumps, and discoloration.

  2. Step 2

Raise one leg and place at right angles on a chair or stool and inspect the scrotal sac again. Use the hand on the corresponding side of the testicle and start to palpate or feel the testicle. Apply medium pressure.

  3. Step 3

Remember only to use the three digits, that is the index finger, middle finger and the thumb to feel the testicle. Also only use the fleshy pads at the tips of the fingers to do the palpation of the testicle.

  4. Step 4

Next, repeat the same procedure on the opposite testicle using the tips of the three corresponding fingers. Feel for any unusual lumps or bumps that was not there in the previous examination. Look for change in skin texture or flakiness. See if there is any discoloration at any part of the scrotal surface.

  5. Step 5

It is recommended to keep a log or diary noting the date, time and any suspicious signs or symptoms every time you do a self testicular examination. This way you have a record and a referral source should there be any medical related problems in the future.

  6. Step 6

Also consult your medical doctor if you notice any unusual signs or symptoms and/or lumps and bumps that you might be suspicious about. The key to testicular cancer, or any cancers and disease, is early detection and prevention.

  7. Step 7

Do the self testicular examination at least once a month or more if you have a family history or personal history of testicular cancer. Eat healthy foods and exercise regularly to promote healthy organs and strong healthy body.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sometimes some men present with a purple color enlarged vein which runs along the surface of the testicle and they worry about it being a cancer or tumor. Most of the time these are found to be benign vascular veins very much like the type you fond on the legs. Go and seek medical advice to be sure it is nothing serious.

With this remarkable science and engineering at hand it's high time we understand more of OUR physical equation. Please take a moment to view on the YOU TUBE.COM "A NEW CURE FOR CANCER" and "A NEW CURE FOR CANCER & EVERYTHING ELSE". I have always thought that there was more, now I'm assured of this fact. Enjoy your day!
