Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
The first thing you need to do is decide if you want to select a team based upon location. Did you just move to a new city? Do you want to add a hometown team to your repertoire? Either of these choices is most respected, and allows you to avoid the front runner tag. If you don’t want to pick your team based upon location, then move on to step 2.
Step2
So you don’t care where the team is from, so then what kind of fan do you want to be? Choose whether you care about success. People may call you a front runner for rooting for a winner, but they are probably just jealous. When in doubt, pick a good team and have more fun.
Step3
Go buy something to show your a real fan. Spending money proves to any doubters that you are legit.
Step4
The last thing to do is learn your new team’s rivals. You don’t have to hate them, but make sure you circle these games on the calendar and schedule a party. No one will believe you are a new fan if you don’t even know the team’s rival. Focus.
