Things You'll Need:
- A willing suspect.
- A soft mat.
-
Step 1
Being facing your opponent with approximately two feet of space between the two of you. Have your opponent start out by attempting to grab you.
-
Step 2
Catch your opponents hand with your opposite hand. Reach around their hand and wrap your four fingers around the back of their hand so your finger tips are touching the inside of their palm and place your thumb on the back of their hand. Now twist your wrist to its natural upright position, thus forcing your opponents hand to twist. Your thumb will now be standing straight up in the middle of the back of their hand. Here is your wrist lock.
-
Step 3
You can now push your thumb away from your body, pushing down on their wrist at the same time, which will immediately force them to slightly turn their body because of the position of their hand and arm. Run your free hand up their captured arm up to the shoulder, grabbing the actual shoulder in the palm of your hand and rotate forward.
-
Step 4
You now have your opponent in a wrist lock and semi arm bar. Simply push forward and give directions to get down on the ground.
