How to Earn Money at Home

This is the first of several articles designed to help you earn money while working from the comfort of your own home.
This series of articles will range in types of services all the way from something simple like Telemarketing to
Executive positions. These are all good self employment jobs that I have done
myself over the last (25) years. Simply said,
"They Work"

• A Desk Phone
• Desk or Table
• Pens
• Pad for Writing
• Yellow Pages Phone Book

1. OK...We are learning how to work for yourself in the comfort of your home. This article will cover Telemarketing/Tele-Sales.First you must decide what you would like to do,would you like to: Make appointments
   for Sales Agents, sell advertising for a local paper, or Sell a Product.
   Once you decide what you want to do, then start calling that type of Business or Professional and ask for the job. It should go something like this:Hello,My name is _____________and I have some ideas and information that will help you make more money and increase your business ........ and then you explain what you are doing .... and always remember to talk to that person like you would talk to a friend. Also watch the newspaper, there are usually some ads for telemarketers in there.

2. OK once you have found someone to work for ... you will need details on pricing.
   for x-dating 1.00 for each expiration date card is the going rate.
   for appointments 10.00 each
   for advertising sales usually at least 25-30 % of the amount of your sales.

3. Get to work.......you will develope your own style as you progress and become more experienced....also you need to adopt a record keeping system to keep track of the work you do....so that you are paid properly.
   Give each of your clients an invoice for payment.

• There is also something you can do for insurance agents,it is called
• X-Dating.You can set appointments for Agents....but X-Dating is fun.
• The X-dating script goes like this:Hello my name is Jane Doe,I work for John Smith over here at the XYZ Insurance agency,We are doing a survey to-day and what I need to do is get the Expiration date of your auto insurance....and how much do you have to pay for that......what about your home owners insurance,does it expire at the same time....and what do you pay for that,(you can use your own words...you are simply trying to find out when their policies expire,who they are with,is it all with the same agent, etc.) Then you simple say,would it be OK if we get back together with you close to that time ,give you a quote,and see if we can save you some money?
• Of course there are always some crab apples,but for the most part people are really nice to deal with.If you work with a company that only needs a small amount of leads or appointments then you will need to build your clientel and take in work from more than one.
