Black is the way to do this bride. Here are some ideas to take a black dress to Gothic.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Kohl liner
  • Black Dress
  • Black lace/material
  • Black Gloves
  1. Step 1
    Edwardian Blouse

A simple long black dress that you find at a thrift store is the basic for this costume. Another version is a long black skirt with a black Edwardian type blouse.

  2. Step 2
    Black Hip Scarf

Look for some light black material that you can use as a veil. A black scarf would work. If you can't find anything at a thrift store then go to a fabric store and buy a yard of black silky or lace material. Use a black headband and attach the veil to it. Adding black feathers is a nice touch.

  3. Step 3

Wear your own black boots. You could also add black and white striped socks and wear tap dance like shoes. Long black gloves in lace or satin. If they are tore, they will still be fine.

  4. Step 4

Using an eye liner pencil, outline your eyes. Smudge it and then outline them again to make a very dramatic effect. Add lots of black mascara and blue lipstick. Foundation should be in a lighter color than you normally wear, even going white.

  5. Step 5

Any hair style goes as long as it's over done. You can pull your hair up in two very messy pony tails on each side or a very messy up sweep or go very sleek and pulled back with a definite part in the middle.

  6. Step 6
    Cameo's

Add a cameo or a necklace that looks old.

  7. Step 7
    Dead Roses

Buy some flowers two weeks before Halloween and when they die use them as you bouquet. Tie them together with a black ribbon and cut the stems short.

  8. Step 8
