Store-bought parfait, is expensive and sold only in small amounts. This parfait recipe is easy to make, and fun for the kids to help with the preparation. Try it with any gelatin flavor.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two regular packages of any flavor gelatin
  • Two cups of evaporated milk
  • Balloon whisk
  • Mixing bowl
  1. Step 1

Chill evaporated milk in the fridge. Prepare gelatin using only one-third of the boiling water recommended on the package.

  2. Step 2

Pour gelatin into a bowl and set aside to get wobbly. While gelatin is setting, whisk chilled evaporated milk until thick and frothy.

  3. Step 3

Before gelatin is completely firm, beat in the evaporated milk and blend, leaving chunks of gelatin visible. The color of the evaporated milk will change, depending on what flavor gelatin you're using.

  4. Step 4

Place in refrigerator to firm. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your gelatin is at the "wobbly" stage before adding the thickened, frothy evaporated milk
  • Be careful around hot water.
