Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Get out of the house every now and then, whether you need to or not. Whether you are in a business that doesn't require you to meet with clients or you see new faces every day, an occasional change of scenery is a good thing. Go shopping, go out to eat, or just take a walk at least once or twice a week.
Step2
Take breaks as needed. Just because you're not working for someone else who is required by law to give you a break every 2 hours, that doesn't mean that you don't need breaks. While three breaks every hour will hamper productivity, one break every 2 or 3 hours will give you time to recharge your batteries and clear your mind.
Step3
Outsource when necessary. Hiring independent contractors to take care of business aspects that you don't have time for, aren't good at, or simply don't enjoy handling yourself often pays off.
Step4
Set measurable goals. This will keep you focused on what you want to accomplish, and achieving your goals will work wonders for your morale.
Step5
Stay as organized as possible. Keeping your workspace well organized will save you a lot of time and frustration. This applies to your papers and office supplies as well as your computer files and emails.
