There is something magical about the look of a gothic bride. Dressing as one for your own wedding or even simply putting together a gorgeous costume can be a fun endeavor!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A gothic dress (generally all black, or mostly black with purple or red accents)
  • Gothic jewelry (replicas are perfectly fine)
  • A proper veil, dark of course!
  • Bouquet of black roses
  • Make up, make up, make up!
  1. Step 1

Find the dress that you will want to wear for your gothic bride ensemble. For a real wedding, go ahead and purchase something from a gothic store online. If a simple costume is needed, you can always purchase a lovely black dress that is floor length with longs sleeves and adorn it with extra lace and gothic-style embellishments.

Accessories can really make or break any gothic outfit, whether real or costume in nature. Look for pieces of jewelry that are reminiscent of centuries ago. The more dark and spooky the design, the better off you will be. Vintage is great, however vintage with a touch of a skull or spider is perfect!

  3. Step 3
    The Ultimate Gothic Bride!

You just cannot be a gothic bride without the proper veil. Of course, white just won't do! You may be able to find a black veil either at a costume shop or through an online gothic attire vendor. If you are creative enough, you may even want to purchase some black taffeta and lace so you can put together a veil of your own.

  4. Step 4

Don't forget the makeup! For a gothic bride costume, you can really go over the top with all of your make up. Use liquid eyeliner, black of course, to highlight your eyes. Perhaps some silver or grey shadow for your lids and even a crystal gem adorning the inner corner of each eye will be the perfect touch.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have fun with your costume! With a little bit of thought, you can come up with a gothic bride costume that all of your friends are sure to wish was their own.
