Things You'll Need:
- saline solution (contact lens re-wetting drops)
- Terramycin (available over the counter and online)
- Good vet as backup.
-
Step 1
Flush dog's eye with saline a few times a day to remove gross "gunk" that builds up around eyes.
-
Step 2
Warm compresses held over the eyes will help relieve irritation and loosen the junk built up in the fur around the dog's eyes.
-
Step 3
Apply terramycin opthalmic ointment, approximately 1/4" ribbon, several times a day.
-
Step 4
Monitor dog closely. If for any reason the dog worsens, or doesn't improve after several days, take the dog to the vet.
