Your wedding day is supposed to be the best day of your life - but it can also be one of the most stressful. To get the maximum enjoyment with a minimum amount of drama follow these pre-wedding tips.

From Quick Guide: Wedding Day Countdown
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wedding party
  • Cell phone
  • Extra toiletries
  • Notebook
  • Day planner
  1. Step 1

Appoint a point person to be the liaison between yourself and your vendors.

  2. Step 2

Keep an organized list of which guests are coming in from out of town and where they are staying.

  3. Step 3

Divide up any last-minute tasks that don’t have to directly involve you, such as confirming dinner reservations, answering guests' questions or arranging who will take the gifts from the reception to the couple’s home, amongst the wedding party.

  4. Step 4

Plan an activity the two of you can do together before all the wedding chaos begins. The first few days of this week typically offer the only time the couple will have alone together before their honeymoon, so set a date to take a long walk, get a couple’s massage or simply rent a movie.

  5. Step 5

Establish a final dress fitting sometime to ensure that any weight you lost/gained as the wedding approached will not affect the way your dress looks.

  6. Step 6

Pack a small bag with any last-minute products you may need throughout the various celebrations, such as tissue, deodorant, hairspray or extra batteries.

  7. Step 7

Decide what you want to take on your honeymoon and pack your suitcase early. When hectic times ensue it will be waiting for you in your hotel room/honeymoon suite and can be forgotten about until after the wedding.

Tips & Warnings
  • At the bridesmaid luncheon make sure you thank your maids individually for all the time, effort and money they've put into your wedding.
  • Make sure to do the same for your parents (and his) during the rehearsal dinner.
  • If possible, set aside a few hundred dollars for any last-minute snags that may come up. From extra salon fees for long hair to changing your mind on the shoes you want to wear, a little extra cash can get you out of an 11th-hour pinch.
