Maybe you just want to see what a specific web site looked like a few years ago. Or, perhaps you're just plain - paranoid. Whatever your reason for wanting to go back, the Internet Archive Wayback Machine is a cool service that allows you to visit archived versions of Web sites. Looking into the Internet's past is super simple...

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Go to: Open your Web browser and go to:
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php.
Step2
Type in URL. Type in the URL of the web site you want research. For this example I used: http://www.ehow.com. Then, click on the "Take Me Back" button.
Step3
Select date. Search results will appear. Select the date you want and click on it.
Step4
eHow.com back in 1999. Ta-da! View the snapshot of the web site for the date you selected. Pretty neat - huh!

Tips & Warnings

  • Alexa.com's downloadable toolbar has the WayBack Machine built into it.
