Once you have created an estimated budget, you begin the pre-production process. This involves calling everybody on the crew and booking them for the shoot. calling all vendors and booking all equipment, as well as purchasing your film stock or video tape and all expendables. you will also need filming permits and production insurance. Additionally you will need to have auditions and scout for your location to film your project.
