How to make chocolate chip oatmeal cookies

A yummy treat for the classroom or holiday dessert table, here is a great "from scratch" recipe for these favorites!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tblsp Milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups oats (quick oats)
  • 12 oz pkg of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Step2
Beat together butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Step3
Add combined flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
Stir in oats and chips. Mix well.
Step4
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 - 10 minutes. Cool one minute on cookie sheet. Remove to cool on wire rack.
Step5
Eat with a glass of milk or hot cocoa and your honey!
