There are all sorts of fun things you can do with PhotoShop Filters! But, isn't it maddening when you can't apply a filter? Here's why...

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Open Photoshop.
Open your image.
Step2
Changing to an RGB file format Click Image > Mode > RGB Color. This changes your indexed GIF file format to an RGB file format which will allow you to apply filters. See image for example.
Step3
Filters There are many filters to play with... Click on the Filters menu to discover all the cool things you can do with images!

Tips & Warnings

  • Anything you don't like, you can always undo by clicking CTRL + Z or Edit > Undo.
  • Be sure to use an image you don't mind changing... perhaps a copy.
