Many people love to dress up as a celebrity for Halloween. Some people enjoy dressing up as sports personalities as well. A very easy Halloween costume idea is to dress up as Joe Paterno for Halloween. Here is how you can be Joe Pa for Halloween.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to any thrift or discount store.

  2. Step 2

    If you don’t have any of the following items you will have to purchase them. You will need a pair of thick-rimmed glasses, a white dress shirt, a blue tie, a v-neck blue sweater, a zip-up Penn State windbreaker or a blue windbreaker if you can’t find a Penn State one, a pair of khaki pants, white socks, black tennis shoes and white hair coloring. If you have a light hair color then you’ll want to buy some black hair coloring as well.

  3. Step 3

    When you put the outfit on, only zip the jacket up halfway. Make sure that the white shirt, blue tie and blue v-neck sweater is visible.

  4. Step 4

    Wear your khakis with the cuffs rolled up past your black shoes and white socks.

  5. Step 5

    Use the white hair coloring sporadically. Joe Paterno’s hair is a mostly gray to snowy white but there still is a hint of his natural hair color that can be seen. You’ll want your hair to look the same.

  6. Step 6

    Work on your Brooklyn accent. Joe Paterno grew up in Brooklyn, New York and has a definitive accent. You’ll need to work on your Brooklyn accent in order to be Joe Paterno.

  7. Step 7

    Shake your index finger in the face of different people throughout the night. Do so while yelling at them. Joe Paterno is infamous for this gesture and behavior. This will complete your Joe Paterno costume.
