Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a diet partner to whom you are close. It should be someone with whom you are willing to spend a lot of time. It should also be someone you care about, someone you'd like to see healthier and succeeding in their goals as well. Be able to be honest with this person, sweat in front of them and talk to them.

  2. Step 2

Choose someone to diet with that has similar goals and levels of commitment. One person may have more will power than another, but if there are constant disagreements over how serious to take it, resentment and bad feelings may be the result.

  3. Step 3

Keep the competition out of it. Recognize that everyone has different bodies, different metabolisms and different tastes. What works for one person may not get the same results for another. While a spouse might drop the pounds more easily, you may be building more muscle with exercise. Keep that in mind and stay positive about any healthy changes.

  4. Step 4

Take up some fun and interesting activities together. Try things that can't be done alone, such as canoeing, kayaking, dancing or rock climbing. Motivate each other to try new and exciting things.

  5. Step 5

Depend on each other, Work out a regular exercise routine to do together. If your best friend has set up a babysitter to go for a jog, it will not be easy to let her down. If another person's health and happiness is dependent on you, you will be much more likely to stick with it.
