Answer as many questions as possible. The more questions you answer, the higher your ranking will become. So feel free to answer as many Yahoo! questions as you want, as long as you have something valuable to contribute.

Say the right thing. An answer is worth 2 points in Yahoo! Answers, and if your suggestion is chosen as the best answer, you get 10 points. So you move up the rankings and get more points if you know what you're talking about.

Vote on undecided questions. At any given time there are thousands of undecided questions in the voting process. All you have to do is read through the answers and vote for whichever one you think is the best answer. For each vote, you get 1 point added to your total.

Consider voting for your own answers. Depending on the topic, you may not have any other votes, so your answer would win by default. This strategy could give you 2 points for the answer, 1 for voting for yourself and another 10 for having the winning answer, for a total of 13 points per question.

I follow step four a lot. If I vote and find that I'm behind in the voting or if there's a tie, I will star the question with the hope that someone will give me a vote or break the tie. -
