Vintage theater posters can add beauty to any room, and many people collect them for decorative uses. There are a range of possibilities from Victorian to French to Broadway vintage theater posters. If you collect vintage posters and would like to sell them to other collectors, follow these steps to help you get started.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Develop a list of the types of vintage theater posters you have and do some research online to see what they are worth. This will let you get a clear sense of what the resale value is before you assign a price to them. The rarity of the poster, as well as the condition, will obviously factor into the price.

  2. Step 2

Consider whether you wish to sell the vintage theater posters online or in a face-to-face venue. If you have enough posters that you think it would be worthwhile to sell in-person, then you could rent a kiosk at a mall or antique show. However, if you have only a small number of posters, then consider setting up a website or sell them on eBay.

  3. Step 3

Sell the posters where theater lovers are likely to be. For example, you could set up in the theater district in major cities, like New York, London or Paris.

  4. Step 4

Opt for selling theater posters at a museum bookstore. Lovers of the arts, whether they be the performing arts or sculptures and paintings, often go to museums and shop at the museum bookstores. Find out if you can sell your theater posters there.

  5. Step 5

Set up shop at the local video store. Many film lovers share an equal love for theater and would welcome the opportunity to purchase vintage theater posters at their video store. Speak to the manager and ask if he will sell your posters there.
