There are many styles of blue jeans being worn by men. Some are classic cowboy fits, some are skinny jeans seemingly made for models, some are fashionable and some are utilitarian. The kind of blue jeans a guy wears can speak more about his personality than any conversation you have with him. Use the tips below to know a guy by the kind of jeans he wears.

1. Look at the color. If a man wears jeans that are a solid color, like black or tan or white, this dates him terribly. He is probably not very trendy, not very concerned with appearances and not very young. He was probably in his prime in the late 80s or early 90s. He could also be so confident, fashion doesn't mean a thing to him. A man who wears very dark blue jeans may consider himself an outsider or a rebel.
2. Notice distress in the jeans. There are two different kinds of distress. If it appears to be store-bought distress, he is probably very trendy and concerned about his appearance. He may like instant gratification, and not have much patience. Natural distress however may indicate a man that is loyal, faithful and comfortable in his own skin.
3. Consider how they fit. A guy who wear baggy jeans is probably laid back and relaxed. He may also be very open and intimate. He may, however be messy and a procrastinator. A guy who wear tight jeans may have feminine inclinations. Or he may be inordinately proud of his body.
4. Look at the leg style of the jeans. Wide leg jeans may indicate he's holding on steadfast to his youth. Straight legged jeans are probably worn by a conservative man, who wants an old-fashioned relationship.
5. Notice any designer embellishments. This may be embroidered or bedazzled pockets. This man is probably very trendy, but likes to be the center of attention. It's also a good chance he thinks very highly of himself, since he is inviting everyone to look at his behind.
