Being bilingual can provide your children with a tremendous advantage in the global marketplace. Spanish spoken thoughout the world, and fluency in the language can open many doors. You can teach your kids basic Spanish language skills in under 24 hours.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get a basic Spanish tape recording for the kids and get them to listen to it while repeating the words out loud. They will find that as they go over each word and say it out loud that they will learn the basics easily.

  2. Step 2

Look online for tutorials and flash card programs for the kids. These can be listened to on a computer and the kids can learn common Spanish phrases that the Spanish culture use everyday such as greetings and salutations.

  3. Step 3

Write down the Spanish names of things around the house. As you and the kids walk throughout the house remember to say each object in Spanish. This will help their brains to remember basic objects and things people use daily like 'fridge' or 'sink'.

  4. Step 4

Get Spanish phrase books from the library and take the kids for a walk around town and practice phrases as you come across a situation. Examples can be saying hello or goodbye.

  5. Step 5

Create flash cards on index card for the kids. Put their main language on the front of each card and ask them to translate them. Put the Spanish translation on the back for correcting. On each flashcard, write the Spanish pronunciation underneath each phrase so they will say it correctly.
