Some viruses can be particularly difficult to remove from your computer. Vcleanerfree, a stand-alone utility, can remove viruses, such as Bagle, Backdoor.Agent, Downloader.Agent, Mydoom, Netsky, Sasser and others.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find the vcleaner.exe file on your computer.

  2. Step 2

Change the name of the file. Some viruses can detect the name of antivirus programs and disable them before they start. You can change it to anything you want, but leave the .exe file extension.

  3. Step 3

Restart your computer in the safe mode. If you're using Windows 2000, XP or Vista, shut the computer off and wait 30 seconds before turning it back on.

  4. Step 4

Press the F8 key just after the POST diagnostics and memory count if you're using Windows 95 or Windows 98/Me. For Windows 2000, XP or Vista, start tapping the F8 key immediately.

  5. Step 5

    Select "Safe Mode."

  6. Step 6

Open the vcleaner.exe file. The scan will start automatically and Vcleaner will remove any viruses that appear.

  7. Step 7

Restart your computer in normal mode once Vcleaner is finished running.
