From Quick Guide: Day Trading
Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Do not panic. The worst thing you can do after a bad day of day trading is to try to make back everything you lost in one big trade. Figure out why you suffered the loss, adjust your strategy accordingly and move forward without making any rash decisions. If you make a trade out of panic, you might increase your losses.

  2. Step 2

Keep your edge. If you are day trading, most likely you are very aggressive. You cannot become too conservative out of fear of losing more money. Analyze your strategy and move on.

  3. Step 3

Be honest with yourself. If so obsessed with every decision that you lie in bed worried about what happened that day and what may happen the next, you need to get out. You may never recover your day trading losses if you are losing sleep and focus.

Tips & Warnings
  • Day trading is volatile and it is difficult to maintain a long track record of success. Once you recover your day trading loses, it might be wise to move on.
