For decades, the premier events in professional golf have been the major tournaments. Taking a page from other sports, the PGA has instituted the Fed Ex Cup playoff. The Fed Ex Cup is an exciting way for PGA tour players to compete for stature and income. However, as the saying goes, "You have to be in it to win it," so a player first has to qualify.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Make it into and compete on the PGA tour. While this is most obvious, a player must be a professional golfer that is qualified to compete on the PGA tour.
Step2
Earn Fed Ex Cup points by making the cut in as many PGA tournaments as possible. A PGA player does not earn any Fed Ex Cup points if they miss the cut in any of the thirty six Fed Ex Cup golf events throughout the season.
Step3
Win or place as high as you can in the Fed Ex Cup events. The higher a player finishes the more points are earned in the Fed Ex cup standings. The points are on a weighted scale.
Step4
Play and excel in all of the major tournaments on the PGA tour. The PGA has four major events, the US Open, the British Open, the Master and the Tour Championship. These events are weighted and therefore are worth more Fed Ex cup points than the other tournaments.
Step5
Place in the top one hundred and forty four spots in the Fed Ex Cup standings. The top one hundred and forty four players are the ones that qualify for the Fed Ex Cup. Be sure however to be one of the top twenty player that qualify if you want to win the cup. In simulations no player lower than twenty has won the Fed Ex cup.
