Staring a lingerie business can be a fun and exciting career opportunity. You get a chance to make women feel sexy and great about themselves and buy as much lingerie as you want; provided you can sell it later, of course.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Sell from your home first. Many women's lingerie manufacturers hire representatives to host parties. Invite some friends over and host a sexy lingerie party or two. This will allow you to see if the business is really for you and build your customer base for later.
Step2
Obtain all required documents. In order to purchase women's and men's lingerie wholesale you'll need a business license. Make sure you know about any documents required by customs if you plan to ship outside of the country.
Step3
Invest in your business. No matter what the business, there are always some starting costs. You'll have to buy some merchandise, as well as a domain name, space to host your website and possibly a webmaster to design your website and look after everything for you.
Step4
Advertise your lingerie. Women's lingerie is a popular item that should sell well, but customers can't buy your sexy lingerie if they don't know that it's there. Places like Google and Yahoo will target your ads specifically to those most interested in them but charge a hefty fee. If you'd like to start small, try creating a Myspace page or advertising in forum groups that might be interested.
Step5
Offer an opening sale. If you do things right, people will be attracted by the discount. Assuming your product is good and you offer excellent service, you'll gain many repeat customers.
