Perhaps you wish to practice singing in the privacy of your home instead of a crowded karaoke bar. Or maybe you want to host your own karaoke party. If you have a Nintendo GameCube, there are some karaoke games available to have karaoke night in your own home.

From Quick Guide: Gamecube Gaming
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get a karaoke video game available for the GameCube. Karaoke Revolution Party and American Idol are the primary games available. They can be found at many stores that specialize in video games.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you have the GameCube microphone. You won't be able to sing without it. It should come with the game, but can also be found with Mario Party 6 or 7, or the video store may have a separate one for sale.

  3. Step 3

Add the dance pad if you want to add dancing to the mix. Check with the dealer to find a GameCube-based mat that is compatible with the game.

  4. Step 4

Choose the game's singing mode that you wish. Sometimes the games, especially Karaoke Revolution Party, feature options for solo or duet singing and competitive modes. Note that duet singing may require a second microphone.

  5. Step 5

Choose an avatar to sing as. You can design one that best resembles you or who you'd like to be.

  6. Step 6

Choose the songs you wish to sing. These games usually feature a wide variety, so you should be able to find at least a few that interest you. How many may depend on your range of interest.

  7. Step 7

Grab the microphone and sing to your heart's content. Be sure to follow the on-screen indicators if you're trying to score high points in the game.
