How to Recycle Twist Ties
We tend to save the twist ties from packages of hot dog buns and loaves of bread. They collect in the corner of the junk drawer where the languish, hoping one day to replace a lost twist tie on a package. Recycle twist ties all around the house. Sort similar-looking keys. Tell them apart by securing twist ties of different colors through the holes in the keys.

Create a trellis for climbing plants using twist ties and the plastic rings from six-packs of soda or beer cans. Use twist ties to connect the plastic rings until the treillis is the desired size, then use twist ties to attach it to two parallel stakes. Add sections as needed. Roll up the trellis at the end of the season and store it.

Repair eyeglasses with a missing screw until a visit to the optometrist. Strip the edges from the twist tie so that only the wire remains. Insert the wire to secure the earpiece and trim the excess with scissors.

Gather sheets of loose leaf notebook paper together. Bind them wtih twist ties inserted through the holes.

Organize the top of a computer desk or the backside of an entertainment center. Roll up the excess of each cord and secure it with a twist tie.

Make an emergency cuff link. Secure the cuff with a twist tie then pull the tie through to the twist is discreetly hidden inside the cuff.
