How to Do Hotel Marketing

Hotels use a variety of marketing strategies to get and keep their customers, but the online market is changing and hotels are working to adapt along with it. If a third of all travelers book their hotel stays online through hotel websites, theoretically your bookings should reflect as much. If they don't, maybe it's time to do some hotel marketing online

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Start with your website. You should have one, and it should be easy to find and easy to read. Use search engine optimization, employing keywords, page titles and file names that allow search engines to rank you higher in the results pages.
Step2
Impress visitors with your website. It must visually show professionalism, be easy to navigate and should be updated regularly to show the latest content such as changes to your rates, rooms or amenities.
Step3
Send messages to show your customers you care about their business. By asking for a mobile phone number and email address, you can send text and email messages welcoming and thanking the customers for their stay and send promotions through a company e-newsletter.
Step4
Use hotel reservation software to allow visitors to book directly from your website, making sure to post the service in any advertisement or promotion package. Include your phone number and email address if possible to give the visitors every chance to contact you.
Step5
List your location, facilities and area entertainment. If you are close to an amusement park or museum, tell visitors, making sure to post your physical address.
Step6
Use affiliate or contextual marketing. Use third-party retails to boost your room sales; however, if you don't have a problem filling your hotel, you may not need to partner with these companies.
Step7
Employ physical marketing projects as well as online. Continue to advertise in phone books, entertainment listings or other areas, always posting your website and phone number along with your information to bring potential customers to you.
