How to Make a Towel Origami Snail
Towel origami projects are a fun way to impress any guests coming to stay at your house. Rather than leaving a flat pile of bath towels, you can shape them into any number of animals, such as a snail.
Things You'll Need
- 1 Solid color bath or beach towel
- 1 Striped bath or beach towel
- Pins (optional)
- Paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- 2 Small buttons

1
Lay the solid color towel out on a flat surface. Fold the corners of one end of the towel in to meet in the center. This will make one end of the towel pointed.
-
2
Roll the folded sections towards each other to meet in the middle, also rolling the unfolded portion of the towel in the same manner. Turn the towel over. This is the snail's head and tail.

3
Lay the striped towel out on a flat surface. Fold both long sides in to meet in the center. Fold the folded sections in again so you'll have a long narrow towel with the sides folded over twice and meeting in the center.
-
4
Roll this striped towel up loosely to create the shell of the snail and place it in the center of the solid colored towel.
-
5
Bend the pointed end of the solid color towel towards the shell to stand up in front of it. You can either lean this section back onto the shell or secure it with pins to make sure it doesn't fall. Fold the point down to form the head of the snail. You may want to flatten out the point so it doesn't look too sharp.

6
Cut two rectangles from paper the same color as the solid colored towel. Fold these in half lengthwise and tape them to the snail's head to create horns. Tape a small button to the top of each horn to make the eyes.
