How to Set the Default Font in Dreamweaver

Most software programs have preset preferences so that the software operates right out of the box. The preferences are not always the most appealing, especially in graphics packages. Once a user starts to know the package, they may want to change some of the presets, such as the font. Here is how to change the default font in Dreamweaver.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Dreamweaver application and wait for it to load.

    • 2

Pull down the top menu, and click "Edit." Select "Preferences."

    • 3

Look down the list of preferences listed on the left side. Select "Fonts."

    • 4

There are 3 default fonts that can be set. Basic font settings are: Font Settings (character set), Proportional Font, Fixed Font and Code View. It is possible to select a particular font for each of these as well as the size of the font, expressed in point size.

Pull down the scroll bar under each of the settings and select the font style as the default font. Once this is done, set the point size for each of the font styles that you have selected.
