1. Go to bnm.com. This site lists cash-only rental car locations at major airports in the United States. You'll find a number of independent rental car companies who will accommodate you.
2. Select the airport that best matches your destination. Keep in mind this isn't a complete list. If your destination is near one of these airports, you can schedule your flight to arrive in one of these major cities and drive the rest of the way.
3. Browse through the companies and review their rental policies. Choose the one whose policies and prices are best for you.
4. Secure your rental with a down payment and purchase the company's rental insurance if required.
