A rental car comes in handy when you're taking a trip or having major repairs done to your primary vehicle. However, renting a car can seem difficult if you don't want to use your credit card. There is a solution, though. You can search online for cash only rental car companies.

From Quick Guide: Superstar Rent-a-Cars
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to bnm.com. This site lists cash-only rental car locations at major airports in the United States. You'll find a number of independent rental car companies who will accommodate you.

  2. Step 2

Select the airport that best matches your destination. Keep in mind this isn't a complete list. If your destination is near one of these airports, you can schedule your flight to arrive in one of these major cities and drive the rest of the way.

  3. Step 3

Browse through the companies and review their rental policies. Choose the one whose policies and prices are best for you.

  4. Step 4

Secure your rental with a down payment and purchase the company's rental insurance if required.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may still be able to rent a car without credit if your desired city is not listed on this site. Call ahead to various independent car rental agencies until you find one that allows cash only rentals.
