AOL no longer charges a monthly membership fee to its members, unless you want additional features, such as technical help. However, if you'd just want to access email and the regular features, such as "Sticky Notes," you only have to register as a free member.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to aol.com and sign up to be member if you haven't already. All you need is a screen name and password.

  2. Step 2

Click on "My" on the Welcome screen and you will be taken to myAOL page. At the bottom middle of the screen you will see the "Sticky Notes" section.

  3. Step 3

Point and click on "Options" to choose 1 of 4 background colors for your Sticky Notes. Your Sticky Notes will display with this background color on your computer, but will not print with this background color.

  4. Step 4

Select from one of 4 different font styles: Verdana, Comic Sans, Arial or Times New Roman.

  5. Step 5

Choose "Save" to save your selections. Type your Sticky Note message within the colored square.

  6. Step 6

Print out your Sticky Note by clicking on "Print Sticky." To clear the colored box for your next Sticky Note, click "Clear Sticky."
