How to Use Barrettes to Style Short Hair

1. Pick up a small barrette. Open it and put it near the bang above the outside of the eye.

2. Decide whether to have a little bang hanging down or all the bangs pulled back. Use a small amount of hair spray if you want all bangs back. Spray onto the hair instead of the clip. Pull a little hair from the clip to create a sassy look.

3. Put the barrette at the side of the head, above the top of the earlobe. Leave the sideburns down for a different look.

4. Make sure flat bangs lay flat when using a small bang. Spray the hair in front. Use a small bobby pin to pin hair sticking out of the barrette if you want to ensure the hair stays in place. Spray the hair in the barrette.

5. Place a more ornate barrette above the outside of the eyebrow to accentuate short hair and achieve a dressier look.

6. Style short hair while letting bangs hang for a full-bangs look. Add a small decorative bobby pin to the hair near the crown of your head. Push the pin in so only hair and the decorative part of the pin show.

7. Add a small decorative pin to the other side of the head. Stick the pin in without opening it up or pulling much hair back. Hide the leggy part of the pin under hair. Place other pins creatively,
