Although YouTube provides a wide variety of videos that can become wonderful accessories on your MySpace page, they usually go unviewed because the person looking at your page does not feel the urge to press the play button. The solution to this problem is to autostart your YouTube video so that it no longer goes overlooked.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find the "Embed Code" below the "URL Code" in the box on the upper right of the YouTube viewing page. Copy and paste the embed code into the desired section of your MySpace page.

  2. Step 2

Edit the embed code in your MySpace page. Delete from the code everything that precedes the open bracket followed by "embed." Also delete the last part of the code, the brackets that contain a forward slash and the word "object."

  3. Step 3

Locate the video's URL in the embed code. It will be in quotation marks and will begin with "http." Add the direction "&autoplay=1" to the end of the URL.

  4. Step 4

Preview and save your changes. If your video is not playing correctly during the preview, return to the previous steps and double check your changes.

  5. Step 5

Change the measurements of the video to "1" if you only want the sound to play and would like to hide the video. The normal height and width will be set to 425 by 350, but if you change these measurements to "1" you will hide the video and just allow the audio to play. If you set the measurements to "0," neither the video nor the audio will play.
