How to Get Tickets to the Nextel Open

One of Nascar's best known events is the Nextel Cup Series. The entire race weekend is filled with excitement that is unmatched during the rest of the 38 week Nascar season. The race is a winner take all event with a purse of $1 million. Although it is difficult to find tickets for the Nextel Open and Nextel All-Star Challenge, it is not impossible.

1. Check the Nascar schedule for information on when the next Nextel Open challenge will be. It has been held in Charlotte, North Carolina for some time now, but dates may vary from year to year depending on the rest of the Nascar schedule. The schedule information can be located on the Nascar website.
2. Find the Nextel Open race on the Nascar website. The Nextel Open includes up to 30 drivers and the winner of the event transfers to the main race, The Nextel All-Star Challenge. The Nextel All-Star Challenge race will immediately follow the Nextel Open.
3. Locate the "Ticket" link on the Nascar website. It should open a new window with information on the sections and rows that are still available for purchase. You can also buy tickets for the other events that go along with the Nextel All-Star Challenge, such as the qualifying night.
4. Select the area that you want to sit in and make your ticket purchase. You will need a valid credit card in order to make the purchase.

Tips & Warnings

• If you are unable to find tickets through the Nascar website, try other ticketing agencies online or by phone.
• Your best chance to find tickets to the Nextel Open is early on in the Nascar season. The racing season generally starts in February and ends in November.
